Jack Arendt and Katie Lux
This picture is very intriguing to me because the woman is my
grandmother, Katherine Lux. This picture was taken about 1895 when she
was 18 or so. The man is NOT my grandfather. On the back of the
picture it said "Jack (or Jacob) Arendt and Katie Lux". On the margin
of the picture it said "Matt Schmidt and Katie Lux." I don't know if
it's Matt Schmidt or if it's Jack Arendt. I know Matt Schmidt has
descendants in the Rose Creek area still.
UPDATE: He has positively been identified by a great niece, and
he is Jake Arndt, not Matt Schmidt.
