Sunnyside School
Photo of Sunny Side School. Located in the very Southwest corner of section 35 in Red Rock Township, Mower Co. Minnesota. District No. 115, is a joint district and includes territory in both Windom and Red Rock townships. The district was organized in 1878, and a school house erected the following spring on the southwest corner of section 35. The building is a frame 24x30 and cost $800. The first school in this house was a three-month term, kept by Mrs. Mary Hathaway, (she is now the wife of F. Slocum, of windom township,) with an attendence of 14. Bertha Case, present teacher.
