She suffered burns when her clothing caught fire as she prepared
breakfast November 24, at her home, 1004 W Winona. Surviving are two sons,
Faber and Leo McNally, Austin; a brother, Frank Rademacher, Portland,
Oregon; a sister, Mrs. Joseph McFadden, Dubuque, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning.

John H. Bliese, 53, died Sunday afternoon at St. Olaf Hospital in Austin,
Mower county, Minnesota. He resided at 608 S. Kenwood.
Surviving are his wife Viola, a son Rodger of Austin; his mother Mrs. Gus
Bliese, Austin, three sisters, Mrs. Lydia McDermott, Mrs. Joe Drew, and Mrs.
Olga Swank, Austin.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon. Interment will be
in Oakwood Cemetery, Austin.

Annette M. Iverson 1925-2009
Annette M. Iverson, age 83, of Austin died on March 29, 2009 at Austin
Medical Center in Austin, Mower county, Minnesota.
She was born on May 13, 1925 in Owatonna, Minnesota, to Elmer and Mabel (Balstad)
Denker. Annette graduated from the Owatonna High School and worked in the
Dietary Department at St. Olaf Hospital and the Austin Medical Center until
her retirement. She was married to Leland L. Iverson on February 12, 1972 at
the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Annette enjoyed taking fishing trips
and car rides as well as a trip to the dog races and playing the organ.
Annette is survived by her husband, Leland L. Iverson, Austin; children,
Douglas (Shirley) Schuler, Cannon Falls, Minnesota; Diann (Randy) Mytten,
Wabasha, Minn., Donna (Dennis) Brown, Omaha, Nebraska, Duane (Annette)
Schuler, Austin, Minnesota, Michael (Pauline) Iverson, Austin; ten
grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Mabel Denker; in-laws,
Anna and Edward Bahl; brother-in-law, Howard Bahl; son, Leonard Iverson
and granddaughter, Denise.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 2, 2009 at the
Clasen-Jordan Chapel with the Reverend Pam Aandahl Solberg officiating.
Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin. Visitation will be at the
Clasen-Jordan Mortuary on Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM and for one hour before
the service on Thursday.
Honorary bearers will be Andrew Gusa, Sammy Jo Gusa, Nick Holst, Rylee
Holst, Corey Schuler, Shay Schuler, Jacob Sundheim and Madeline Sundheim.
Casket Bearers will be Chad Schuler, Derrick Brown, Jamie Gusa, Scott
Holst, Matthew Schuler and Andy Bakritges.

Lawrence E. "Larry" Haugen1943-2009
Lawrence E. “Larry” Haugen, age 65, of St. Peter passed away on Saturday,
March 28, 2009 at River’s Edge Hospital in St. Peter, Minnesota.
Larry was born on June 11, 1943 in Devils Lake, North Dakota, to Ernest and
Bernice Haugen. He attended high school Parshall, N.D., graduating in 1961.
Larry was united in marriage to Sharon Rodne in 1962. Larry was employed
at Chambers of Commerce in Aberdeen, S.D., Worthington Minn. and Austin, and
was currently the president and CEO of the St. Peter Chamber of Commerce.
Larry served two terms as the president of the Minnesota Chamber of
Commerce Executives, was a former member of the Police Commission in St.
Peter and was a member of the St. Peter Rotary Club.
Larry is survived by his wife, Sharon, St. Peter; sons, Michael,
St. Peter, Scott (Ashley), Nashville, Tenn. and Ryan, Plymouth Minn.;
seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Jim (Brenda) and
several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ken.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 3, 2009 at
Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Peter with the Reverend Charles Christensen
officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, April
2nd at St. Peter Funeral Home-Klein Chapel and will continue one hour prior
to the service at the church on Friday. n lieu of flowers, the Larry E.
Haugen Memorial Fund has been set up at the Nicollet County Bank in St.
Peter to benefit Larry’s favorite local events and organizations such as
the St. Peter 4th of July Celebration and the St. Peter Ambulance Service.
Also included are the American Diabetic Association and the American Heart
Association.

Maurice J. Burns1920-2009
Maurice J. Burns, age 89, of Lewiston, Minnesota, died on March 28, 2009
at Lewiston Villa Nursing Home in Lewiston.
Maurice was born on January 3, 1920 to Frank and Anna (Hughes) Burns in
Worthington, Minnesota. Maurice served in the US Army from 1944 to 1946
and was honorably discharged. On Oct. 9, 1951 he married Mildred Mae Price.
They lived in Austin where he worked for Hormel for 40 years. In 1989, they
moved to Rochester. Mildred passed away April 30, 1991.
Maurice then moved to St. Charles and on November 19, 1993, Maurice married
Merle Knauf. They later moved to Lewiston and moved into the Speltz Estates.
Merle passed away November 30, 2007. Maurice was a member of the St. Charles
Borromeo Catholic Church and St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Lewiston.
He was also a life member of American Legion Post 91 in Austin. Maurice
enjoyed fishing and camping but most of all he loved his family. He will
be dearly missed.
Survivors include two sons, Jack Hunter, Green Acres, Wash. and Frank
(Judy) Hunter, Gasseville, Ark.; daughter, Maurine (Bruce) Canopy, Lewiston,
Minn.; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three
great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and two very special
“adopted” granddaughters, Michaelle and Renee Brandt.
Maurice was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mildred; wife,
Merle; two sisters and three brothers.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at
St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Lewiston with the Reverend Marreddy
Pothireddy and Reverend James Callahan officiating. Friends may call from
9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 1 at St. Rose of Lima. Burial will take place
at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Calvary Cemetery in Austin. Memorials
are preferred to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and St. Rose of Lima

Vaughn Ray “Spud” Bothun1942-2009
Vaughn Ray “Spud” Bothun, age 66, of Austin, Mower county, Minnesota, died
on March 29, 2009 at his home in Austin.
He was born on July 17, 1942 in Owatonna, Minnesota, to Everett and
Violet (Krejci) Bothun. Spud graduated from Austin High School in 1960. On
November 9, 1968 he married Susan McGee at St. Augustine's Catholic Church
in Austin. Spud had retired from Northwest Market, which he owned with his
wife. He was a member of P-9 support group, Cedar Valley Conservation Club,
The Eagles Club, The National Wild Turkey Federation and was a lifetime
member of the Harley Owners Group. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting,
fishing, four wheeling and spending time with family and friends at the
cabin in Spring Valley.
Spud is survived by his wife, Susan Bothun, Austin; son, Brad Bothun
(Fiancée Candice Crowther), Chicago, Ill.; daughter, Lindsey (Kevin) Haney,
Austin; grandchildren, Kylie and Owen Haney; father-in-law and mother-in-law,
Bernard and Irene McGee, Austin; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and
Sherri McGee, Austin; sister-in-law, Ann McGee, Austin; sister and
brother-in-law, Mary and Wally Huemann, Albert Lea, Minn.; nieces,
nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Violet Bothun
and brother, Vance Bothun.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, April 3, 2009 at
Clasen-Jordan Chapel with Father Joe Fogal officiating. Visitation will

Daniel Frank Gruber1923-2009
Daniel Frank Gruber, age 86, passed away at Adams Health Care Center in
Adams, Mower county, Minnesota, on March 25, 2009.
He was born on March 8, 1923 to Wolfgang and Mary (Boettger) Gruber in
Lafayette Township, Brown County. On September 24, 1946 he was united in
marriage to Marcella Blumhoefer at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Fairfax.
Daniel’s lifetime passion was farming, which included several types of
livestock operations and crop farming on the family farm in which he was
actively engaged until age 80. For many years he enjoyed his trips in his
cattle truck buying and selling Holstein heifers at various barns in
Minnesota and Wisconsin. Daniel was an active member of St. Josephs
Catholic Aid Society.
He loved playing cards (his favorite was Schafkopt), polka music and
square dancing. During his later years, he enjoyed visits from his children
and grandchildren and especially his wife who always brought a big smile to
him. Daniel and his wife took trips to different parts of the United States
and to Germany. Daniel will be deeply missed by his family and friends and
will always be remember by his warm smile and the twinkle in his eyes.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Marcella Gruber, Adams; daughters, Arlene
(Cletus) Bastian, Rose Creek, Minnesota, and Diane (Ronald) Annen, Jefferson
City, Missouri; grandchildren, Jason and Shelly Bastian, Austin, Nicole
Bastian and Justin Bastian both of San Diego, Calif., Kristie and Todd
Annen-Kirby, Baltimore, Maryland, Chloe and Jason Sebaugh, St. Louis,
Missouri, Maxwell Annen of Kalispell, Montana; great-grandchildren, Jaidyn
Bastian, Jennifer Hanson, Hallie Bastian, Reagan Sebaugh; sister, Lucille
Altmann, Sleepy Eye; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Linus and Louis
Gruber.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 4,
2009 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm with
Monsignor John A. Richter celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow in the
New Ulm Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m on Friday and
will continue from 7:30 to 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Minnesota Valley

Gary Lee Brandt1952-2009
Gary L. Brandt, 56, of Albert Lea, died on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at his
home.
Gary was born in Austin, Mower county, Minnesota, on August 29, 1952, the
son of Edmund and Alberta (Fuchs) Brandt. He graduated from Albert Lea High
School. Gary served his country in the US Army. He was united in marriage
to Diane Budach in Wells, Minn. and later divorced. He had lived in Wells
and Albert Lea. Gary had worked at Wells Concrete Products, Clothing Care
Products and for the last 25 years at Streaters Co. Gary had been a member
of the American Legion and the Eagles Club.
He enjoyed watching football, baseball and basketball, and his greatest
love was the time he spent with his family and friends.
Gary is survived by his parents, Edmund and Alberta Brandt, Albert Lea;
son, Corey (Katie) Brandt, Albert Lea; life partner, Julie Golder, Albert
Lea; sisters, Jerrilyn Warmka, Wells, Minn., Karen (Rick) Boyer, Albert Lea,
Robbin (Todd) Weatherly, Rochester, Minn.; brother, Marty Brandt, Albert
Lea; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Gary was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Brandt and grandparents.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2009 at the
Trinity Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. Pastor Curtis Zieske will officiate.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Bonnerup Funeral Service and
one hour before service at the church. Interment will be in the Hillcrest
Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded by the Albert Lea Veteran’s
Organizations.

Robert Stephan Hobkirk1849-1908

On the 21st day of July 1908, Robert Stephan Hobkirk passed from this
life.
He was born at Rosendale, Fondulac Co., Wis., on the 18th day of December
1849 and was married at Osage, Iowa, on February 3, 1876 to Louisa J.
Campbell, who passed away 14 years ago, on the 10th of June.
He leaves 5 children; Henry Willard, Jessie Bell Wyborney, Robert
Arlo, Joseph LeRoy, Zadie May, and one brother, W.J. Hobkirk of Osage and
a sister, Mrs. John Duncan of Hopesdale, Washington.
The funeral, which was under the direction of the K.P. Lodge, was held
Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Carlson preached the funeral sermon. Interment
at Woodbury Cemetery. W.J. Hobkirk and family of Osage, Mrs. Chinn and
family of Grafton, Joe Hobkirk and family of Osage, Mrs. R.D. Noble of
Osage, Jim Penny of Wells, Miss Mary Hobkirk of Fox Lake, Wis., were here
to attend the funeral.

James “Jim” Joseph Heikes1941-2009
Jim Heikes, age 67, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, died on March 28, 2009 at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, after falling while working outside his Hutchinson home.
James Joseph “Jim” Heikes was born on June 19, 1941, in Austin, Mower county, Minnesota, the son of Joe and Rose (Goetsch) Heikes. He attended Martin Luther High School in New Ulm, Minn.
On June 21, 1961, Jim married Carole Eblen. Jim and Carole are the parents of five children: Kim, Kevin, Kandi, Kari and Keith. Jim and Carole and their family moved a number of times throughout the first 20 years of their marriage and resided in St. James, Austin and Albert Lea, Minn.; Alliance, Ohio; Webster City, Iowa and Rogers, Minn., before they settled in Hutchinson, Minn. in 1980. They shared nearly 48 years of marriage. During the majority of his life, Jim was self-employed. When the family moved to Hutchinson, Jim and Carole purchased the Hardware Hank store, previously located at 105 Washington Street. After selling the store, the two built a roller skating rink, Minnesota Fun, on Highway 7.
After closing the roller rink, Jim and his son, Kevin, entered into the furniture business with the original Factory Direct Furniture going into the building. Jim retired in 1995, and rented the building out. In 2007, Jim and his two sons, Kevin and Keith, ventured into the furniture business and Factory Direct Furniture returned to Hutchinson. Jim's hobbies included farming, auction sales, and collecting tractors - primarily John Deere items. His favorite activity, however, was the time he spent with his 8 beautiful grandchildren.
Jim is survived by his wife, Carole Heikes, Hutchinson, Minn.; five children, Kim Heikes, Hutchinson, Kevin (Gloriann) Heikes, Hutchinson, Kandi Kath, Otsego, Kari (Steve) Rettig, Hutchinson, Keith Heikes (fiancée, Tess Chiotti), Hutchinson; eight grandchildren, Kyle, Alison, Katelyn, Andrew, Alexander, Peyton, Anthony and Amanda; mother, Rose Heikes, Clara City, Minn.; sisters, Myrtiss (Norm) Riediger, Willmar, Minn., Ruth (Ray) Dusseau, Milwaukee, Wis.; nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Jim is preceded in death by his father, Joe Heikes; and brother-in-law, Elmer Weckwerth.
A Celebration of Life was held at 1 p.m., at Peace Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, on Thursday, April 2, 2009, with Pastor Gerhard Bode officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Ena Mae (nee Nagle) Bell1918-1995
Funeral services for Ena Mae Bell, 77 who Died August 9, 1995 at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center, were held August 14, at the United Methodist Church, St. Ansgar, Mitchell county, Iowa, with Rev. Gary Gonnerman officiating.
Ena Mae Bell was born March 21, 1918 to Henry and Alma Nagle of Carpenter, Iowa. Ena grew up in the Carpenter, Grafton, and Rose Creek areas.
She was united in marriage to John Carter Bell of Lyle, Minnesota July 28, 1936 at the First Baptist Church, Osage. They made their home on a farm north of Lyle, Minnesota. Harlan was born there. They lived in Austin, Minnesota, and then moved to Clarksville, Iowa, where James and Russell were born.
They then moved to a farm northeast of St. Ansgar where they farmed
until 1955 when they moved to a farm southeast of St. Ansgar. In 1964
they moved west of St. Ansgar where they farmed until 1973. They moved
to a house in St. Ansgar for retirement.
During the years 1958 to 1986 Ena was employed by Cedar Valley Electric.
She did custodial work, printing, and cooked many a meal there and for other
special events in the community. Ena enjoyed cooking and entertaining. Her
life was invested in her family and friends.
Ena is survived by three sons: Harlan of Waterloo; James and wife Nancy
of St. Ansgar; Russell and wife, Sandra of Hudson; six grandchildren, Gail
Smith and husband Stephen; Dean Bell and wife Rebecca Dawn Standing and
husband Christopher; Renae Wason and husband Tim; Susan Pearl and husband
Dave; and Karen Bell; five great-grandchildren, one sister, Evelyn Goedken
of Waterloo.
Preceding her in death were her husband John, her parents, two sisters,
Lucy Larson and E. Lee Tribbensee, and two brothers, Howard and Roger Nagle.
Burial was in the St. Ansgar Cemetery

John Carter Bell1916-1994
Funeral services for John Carter Bell, 78, who died October 22, 1994, were held Wednesday, October 26 at the United Methodist Church, St. Ansgar, Iowa, with the Rev Robert Lemmermann officiating.
John Carter Bell was born March 31, 1916 to Amos and Ivie Bell of Lyle,
Minnesota. John grew up in and around Lyle, Minnesota.
On July 28, 1936 he was united in marriage to Ena Mae Nagle at the
First Baptist Church, Osage. They made their home at a farm site north
of Lyle, Minnesota. Their first son Harlan was born there. They moved to
Austin, Minnesota where John worked for Hormel. John and his family moved
west of Clarksville where he farmed with his father. James and Russell were
born there. They then moved to a farm northeast of St. Ansgar where they
farmed until 1955 when Art and Lee Tribbensee bought the farm. At that
time John and family moved to the Suchy farm southeast of St. Ansgar.
They stayed there until 1964 when they moved to a farm west of
St. Ansgar, farming there until 1973 when he sold out. John and Ena
moved to St. Ansgar and John worked for H.L.Mckinley on their farms
until retirement.
John is survived by his wife, Ena; three sons, Harlan of Omaha,
Nebraska, James and wife Nancy of St. Ansgar. Russell and wife Sandra
of Hudson; six grandchildren, Gail and Stephen Smith; Dean and Rebecca
Bell; Dawn and Christopher Standing. Renae and Tim Wason, Susan and Dave
Pearl, and Karen Bell; five great grandchildren. Michael and Matthew Smith,
Amanda Bell, Shelbe and Hunter Wason, one sister, Sue Marriott, Oceanside,
California.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a sister Grace Ames, and an
infant brother, Harlan.
Burial was in the St. Ansgar Cemetery.

Allen John Frank1949-2009
Allen John Frank, 59, of Austin, died Friday, April 3, 2009 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester due to complications from surgery the week prior.
He was born Oct. 21, 1949 in Mankato to Allen Frank and Margaret (Rebhahn) Frank and grew up in Austin. He married Susan Lauritzen on April 19, 1969. During the Vietnam War, he served in the 101st Airborne Division where he received numerous commendations, including the Bronze Star medal.
He enjoyed a 40-year career with Hormel Foods, the majority of which was spent in Austin with the exception of eight years in Iowa. Allen was an avid gardener and also enjoyed golfing and fishing.
Survivors include wife: Susan Frank, Austin; sons: Joseph (Kelli) Frank, Eldridge, Iowa, and Jeffrey (Maria) Frank, Pasadena, Calif.; grandsons: Brady, Cooper and Griffin; mother and stepfather: Margaret and Mike Downey, Austin; sister: Ella Rezabek-Turner, Wahpeton, N.D.; sister: Adele (Alan) Kimpell, Minnetonka, Minn.; sister: Sandra (Bill) Lynd, Earlville, Ill.; brother: Michael (Jolene) Frank, Fort Mill, S.C.; sister: Margaret (Rick) Hardy, Santa Barbara, Calif.; brother: James (Kristi) Frank, San Juan Capistrano, Calif.; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Allen J. Frank.
Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m., Monday at Mayer Funeral Home and also one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday. A wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Austin with Father Joe Fogal officiating. Honorary casket bearers will be Jerry Butlin, Mike Lauritzen, Jim Perrin, Alan Kimpell, Bill Lynd, Mike Frank, Jim Frank, Jerry Grimm, Randy Blazer, Jim Kenyon, Quin Johnson and Stan Rasmussen.

Danny Wayne Swenson1954-2009
Danny Wayne Swenson age 54, of LeRoy, died Thursday April 2, 2009 at his farm surrounded by his family and friends following a short battle with cancer.
Danny was born Nov. 22, 1954 in LeRoy to Henry and Helen (Wierson) Swenson Jr. He attended and graduated from LeRoy-Ostrander High School in 1972 and farmed all his life. He Loved the outdoors, farming and his family. He was always willing to help out a neighbor or friend.
Danny was a loving son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle and friend to all those who knew him. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and neighbors.
He is survived by his mother, Helen Swenson, LeRoy; one brother, Dennis Swenson, LeRoy; four sisters: Elly (Pete) Horsman, Spring Valley, Minn., Dory Swenson, LeRoy, Diane (Randie) Olsen, Blaine, Minn. and Barb (Larry) Peters, LeRoy; 12 nieces and nephews: Kristie, Chastidy, Chad, Korey, Missy, Stacy, Andy, Susie, Amy, Alisha, Lance and Nicole; and 10 step-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Henry Jr.; two sisters: Colleen and Susan; and grandparents: Henry and Margaret Swenson and Marion and Cordilla Wierson.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday April 5, 2009 at the Hindt Funeral Home in LeRoy and one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 6, 2009 at the LeRoy Lutheran Church in LeRoy with the Rev. Thomas Kolden officiating. Burial will be in the Bethany Lutheran Cemetery rural LeRoy.

Marilyn Alta Brandeland1925-2009
Marilyn Alta Brandeland, 83, of Austin, died at Austin Medical Center on
April 12, 2009.
She was born on May 5, 1925 to Hilmar and Emma (Newhouse) Quinnell in
Caledonia, Minnesota. She graduated from Spring Grove High School in 1943 and
attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa where she earned her certificate.
She taught elementary school in Iowa until her marriage to Harold Brandeland
on July 11, 1948 in Spring Grove. They moved to Austin in 1949. A member of
St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Marilyn liked to play the piano, read and spend
time with her family. She liked pets, especially her cat.
Survivors include one daughter, Pam Jacobson, Austin; two sons, Bruce
(Kathy) Brandeland, Plano, Texas and Gary Brandeland, Elk River; seven
grandchildren, Shelby, Jessica, Kjell, Kelsey, Lindsey and Megan; five
great-grandchildren; twin brother, Mervin Quinnell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister in
infancy and a brother.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 15, 2009
at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin. Interment is at Oakwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday at Worlein Funeral Home in
Austin and at the church one hour prior to the service. Worlein Funeral
Home is in charge of arrangements. The family prefers memorials to Mower
County Humane Society.

Darlene Ione Page1920-2009
Darlene Ione Page, age 78, of Austin, Mower county, Minnesota, died on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Comforcare Good Samaritan Center in Austin.
Darlene was born on December 30, 1930 to Harry and Margaret (Ciri) Page
in North Freedom, Wisconsin. She grew up in Austin where she spent the
remainder of her life. She loved Elvis Presley, angels, and tomato soup.
Survivors include her sister, Betty Hartwig, Owatonna, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Francis; and a sister, Margie.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin. Visitation is two hours prior to the service. Interment is at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to donor’s choice.

Marcella M. Hjelmen1922-2009
Marcella M. Hjelmen, 86, died early in the morning on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at St. Mark’s Nursing Home in Austin.
Marcella was born Marcella Kolpin on Nov. 17, 1922 in Austin, Minnesota the daughter of William and Lillian (Soucek) Kolpin. She married Ewald Kohlwes, and he preceded her in death. She later married Howard Hjelmen. He also preceded her in death. Marcella was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Austin. She enjoyed making her house a home, and her life centered around her daughters Karen and Cheryl, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed baking, making soup, and crocheting afghans.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen (Roger) Jacobs and Cheryl (Donald) Anderson; grandchildren, Brian (Diane) Jacobs, Michael (Dana) Jacobs and Valerie (Jeff) Perry, Wade (Sara) Anderson; great-grandchildren, Brady and Bridget Jacobs, Riley, Carter and Crosby Perry, Sophia and Maxwell Anderson; step-great-grandchildren, Brianna, Ryan and Brittany Carter; sister, Winifred Owens and a brother, Donald Kolpin.
Marcella was preceded in death by her husbands, Ewald Kohlwes and Howard Hjelmen; great-granddaughter, Ellie Perry, brother, Maynard Kolpin and sister, Mildred Cooper. Family Memorial Services for Marcella will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Austin.

Richard E. Yonkec1944-2009
Richard E. Yonke, age 64, of Burnsville, Minnesota, died unexpectedly on
March 24, surrounded by his loving family.
Richard graduated from Austin High School in 1963 and from the University
of North Dakota in 1968 with a bachelor of science degree in electrical
engineering. At UND, he was a key player on nationally-ranked football
teams. After graduation, his 38-year career was spent entirely with one
organization, where he retired from Seagate Technology as a director of
design engineering. Throughout his career, he thrived on the challenges
of developing new technology and enjoyed the camaraderie and friendships
with his co-workers.
Richard was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son and brother.
Despite his many personal accomplishments, he found his greatest joy in
spending time with his family, especially at the cabin which he designed
and built. He also took great pride in both coaching and attending his
children's many athletic events. His grandsons clearly loved spending so
much time with him and he felt extremely fortunate to have developed such
close relationships with them. Above all, he cherished the more than 40
years he was able to spend with his loving wife.
He is survived by his wife, Tudi; son, Bret (Emily); daughter, Lisa;
grandchildren, Bradley and Blake; mother, Leone Yonke; sisters, Marilyn
(Paul) Oxley and Marge (Joe) LaFrance; brother, Bob (Dottie) Yonke;
sister-in-law, Ann Lien and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his son, Jeff, and his father, Emil.

Evangeline (Gerber) Landherr1918-2009
Evangeline Landherr, age 90, of Stacyville, Mitchell county, Iowa, passed
away on April 4, 2009, at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Evangeline was born on August 4, 1918, in Johnsburg, Minnesota, to Fred
and Julia (Smith) Gerber. She grew up on a farm near Johnsburg. On October
14, 1944, she was married to Wilmer Landherr in Johnsburg. She spent her
entire married life on the farm west of Stacyville.
Evangeline enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, baking and attending
auction sales with Wilmer in her later years. She resided the last years
of her life in Marion with her son, Ron and his wife, Audrey.
Evangeline is survived by five sons and five daughters, James, Cedar
Rapids, Iowa, Ronald (Audrey), Marion, Iowa, Mary Jean (David) Johnson,
Dewitt, Iowa, Janet (Dwight, Sr.) Jorgensen, St. Ansgar, Iowa, Kathryn
(Wayne) Halvorson, Chatfield, Minn., Thomas (Elaine) Landherr and Harold
(Vicki) Landherr, both of Stacyville, Annette Hagen (special friend Dennis
Stauffacher), Northwood, Iowa, Ruth (James) Dieterich, Galesburg, Ill. and
John (Annette) Landherr, Marshalltown, Iowa; 32 grandchildren,
25 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Margaret Armstrong, Fairfax, Virginia,
Helen Noterman, Adams, Mary Brumm, Stacyville, Iowa; two brothers, Adrian
(Elaine) Gerber and Roger (Mary) Gerber both of Adams; sisters-in-law,
Velma Matheis, Adams, Elizabeth Landherr, LeRoy, Louise Landherr, Austin
and Nancy Landherr, Brownsdale.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer; son-in-law, Bob Hagen;
grandchildren, Michelle Johnson, Mark Jorgensen and Daniel Hagen; two
sisters and four brothers who died in infancy.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, at
Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville, Iowa, with the Reverend John
Moser officiating. Burial will follow at the Visitation Catholic Cemetery,
Stacyville. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 7, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the
Visitation Church, Stacyville. A Rosary service will be at 4:30 p.m. and

Gladys J. Fruth1912-2009
Gladys J. Fruth, 96, of Grand Meadow, Minn., died on April 8, 2009 at the
Grand Meadow Health Care Center where she had resided for approximately nine
years.
She was born July 6, 1912 in Grand Meadow to Albert and Helen (Nelson)
Peterson and attended Grand Meadow High School where she was a member of
the undefeated girls basketball teams of 1929 and 1930. She graduated in
1930. After high school she attended Mankato Business College.
On June 15 1937 she was united in marriage to Lawrence Fruth at St.
Finbarr Catholic Church in Grand Meadow and to this union six children
were born; Larry, Mike, Brian, Mavis, Carol and Judy. Gladys was a homemaker
all her life, she enjoyed cooking canning, sewing and her family. She was a
member of St. Finbarr Catholic Church and a member of its Rosary Society and
Mission Circles.
She is survived by sons, Larry and Brian (Teri) Fruth both of Grand
Meadow and Mike (Vicky) Fruth, Rochester; three daughters, Mavis Richardson,
Austin, Carol (Jay) Donovan, Rochester and Judy (Howard “Butch”) Douglas,
Spring Valley; two sisters, Agnes Olson, Grand Meadow and Ardes Rote, West
Minster, Colo., and a sister-in-law, Bette Hedstrom-Peterson;
15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass for Gladys Fruth will be held at 10:30 Monday, April 13,
2009 at St. Finbar Catholic Church in Grand Meadow. Burial will be in the
church Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 5 to 8 P.M. at the St.

Jan Kristal 1952-2009
Jan Kristal, M.A., age 56, of San Rafael, California, died [circa April 9]
after a long battle with cancer.
She was born on November 8, 1952 in Austin, Mower county, Minnesota. Jan
enjoyed playing on family farms as a child. She grew into a talented
musician who played guitar, bass, ukulele and drums. Jan also loved
ceramics, gardening, photography, traveling politics, the arts and gourmet
food. Jan possessed a sharp wit and appreciated a good sense of humor.
She was a loving mother, spouse and daughter. During her extraordinary
life, Jan achieved a rare balance between family, work and creative
endeavors. She was one of the leading experts in child temperament
theory. She appeared on "Dateline NBC", authored the book "The Temperament
Perspective and taught psychology at Dominican University and San Francisco
State. Throughout her life, Jan provided training for parents and
professionals and enabled them to become better parents, therapists,
doctors and teachers.
She is survived by her husband, Alan; daughters, Nicole and Vanessa;
father, Everett "Bud" Hertle.

Michael Galleher MacLean1941-2009
Michael Galleher MacLean, 67, of Austin, passed away suddenly on March
31, 2009 in Tucson, Arizona.
Mike was born on May 11, 1941 in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Mary Gavin and
Harry Norman Galleher. On August 10, 1963, he married his Celtic soul mate,
Patricia Mullen, with whom he shared 45 blessed years. Mike graduated with
a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of
Nebraska, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity, and he later
obtained a master’s degree from the University of Minnesota. Mike served
in the U.S. Army for three years, including two years stationed in Munich,
Germany, and was honorably discharged at the rank of captain.
In 2004, Mike retired from Hormel Foods at the corporate office in Austin
after 33 years in labor relations and human resources. He was respected for
his integrity, insight and mentoring skills. During retirement, he consulted
for Hormel and other local businesses and taught at Riverland Community
College.
Mike was an enthusiastic supporter of the Ronald McDonald House in
Rochester, where he volunteered weekly and served on various communities.
He was also actively involved in a variety of other civic organizations.
He served as president of the Austin Symphony Orchestra and twice as
president of the Cedar Valley Services Board. Mike had just completed
his term as president of the congregation at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.
Mike was greatly loved as husband, father, grandfather and brother.
He adored his family.
His greatest pleasure came from spending time with his wife, Pat, his
sons and their families. His other favorite pastimes included: Traveling,
reading; walking with their poodle; Braveheart; rooting for the Nebraska
Cornhuskers; swimming; and studying photography, anthropology and history.
For many years he enjoyed officiating high school football. Mike was proud
of his Irish heritage and his early years growing up in the Sandhills of
Nebraska. He was also well-known for his storytelling talents, his keen
intellectual curiosity and his marvelous sense of humor. Mike always had
a smile and a joke to brighten the day. He touched the lives of many, and
he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Pat, and two children, Michael, Jr. (Lisa)
MacLean, Buffalo, N.Y., Mark (Lynn) MacLean, Duluth, Minn.; three brothers,
Harry MacLean, Denver, Colo., James F. (Sherry) MacLean, Sr., Des Moines,
Iowa, Jack MacLean of Lincoln, Neb.; niece, Megan MacLean, Des Moines;
four grandchildren, Madeleine, Gavin, Payton and Sophie MacLean, as well
as many dear friends. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather,
James F. MacLean; and sister, Sharon Galleher.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., Monday, April 13 at Our
Savior’s Lutheran Church in Austin with memorial services on Tuesday,
April 14 at 11 a.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.

Elaine Marjorie (nee Ehmke) Quill1937-2009
AUSTIN, MINNESOTA - Elaine Marjorie (Ehmke) Quill, age 71, of Austin,
died on April 9, 2009, at 11:15 a.m. in Austin.
On Jan. 3, 2009, just three months and six days before, her beloved husband,
Ronald Perry Quill, died at the age of 71.
Elaine Marjorie Ehmke was born on November 16, 1937 in Waltham, Minnesota,
the daughter of Maynard and Marge (Lewis) Ehmke. Elaine was united in
marriage to Ronald Quill on Dec. 30, 1956, in Waltham. Elaine worked for many
years at the Vernon Creamery, Hayfield Window Company, the Hormel Corporate
Office and the Brownsdale Bank. She was the most proud to work as a farmer
next to her husband for more than 50 years.
She was a long-time member of WIFE (Women In Farm Economics). She
proudly won another term as treasurer in Red Rock Township.
Elaine is survived by her daughter: Denise (Dr. Charles) Campbell,
Chicago; son: Scott (Sandy) Quill, Hampton, Minnesota; four grandsons:
Anthony Quill, Jack Cameron, Taylor Quill, and Ian Cameron. She is so
loved by siblings: Leonard (Sharon) Ehmke, Waltham; Bev (John) Remker,
Spring Valley, Minnesota; Bonnie (Larry) Sumner, Waltham; Donna (Donnie)
Senjem, Hayfield, Minnesota; and Brad (Carol) Ehmke, Waltham.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Quill; and
brother, Kevin Ehmke.
The funeral service for Elaine Marjorie Quill will be at 11 a.m. on
Thursday, April 16, 2009, at West St. Olaf Lutheran Church in rural Hayfield;
with the Rev. Darby Lawrence officiating. Interment will be in the church
cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at the
Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield and one hour before the

Vernon Lee Murphy 1917-2004
ST. ANSGAR, IOWA — Vernon Lee Murphy, 86, of St. Ansgar, died Friday
(Jan. 30, 2004) at the Good Samaritan Center in St. Ansgar.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Our Saviors Lutheran
Church in Lyle, Minn., with the Rev. Barbara Finley-Shea officiating. Burial
will be in the First Lutheran Cemetery in St. Ansgar. Visitation will be
held from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, 207 S.
School St. in St. Ansgar.
Vernon Lee Murphy was born to John and Lulu (Gregg) Murphy on September
2, 1917. He was the third son of four sons.
Vernon married Margaret Henrietta Tesch on
May 18, 1941, in Albert Lea, Minn. They had five children.
Vernon was a disabled American veteran having served in World War II until being wounded in France and sent back to England, and then to a hospital in Chicago, Ill.
He was a 60-year member of the American Legion in Lyle, and a long time member of the Lyle Lions Club.
He was a truck driver his entire life, and lived in Lyle, Minn., Mason City, and retired to St. Ansgar.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, on Oct. 29, 1994; his father and mother; step-mother and step-father; two brothers, Chet and Marion; six brothers-in-law, and five sisters-in-law.
Vernon is survived by his five children, Reuben (Ann) Murphy, of Lyle, Minn., Derald (Roxie) Murphy, of Chandler, Ariz., Carolyn (Bruce) Coleman, of Kettle River, Minn., Nyla (Larry) Hansen, of St. Ansgar, and Dean Murphy, of Union, Mo.; ten grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and many step-grandchildren and step-great- grandchildren; one brother, Richard (Mildred) Murphy, of Austin, Minn.; sisters-in-law, Elsie Decklever, of Osage, and Tillie Olson, of Horseshoe Bend, Ark.; brothers-in-law, Otto Tesch, of St. Ansgar, and Rudy (Arlene) Tesch, of St. Ansgar; and many nephews and nieces.

Carol Jean Cramer1964-2009
Memorial services for Carol Jean Cramer of Glenville, Minnesota, will be
held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church in Dexter. The Rev. Lyle
Aadahl will officiate. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to
the service. Interment will be in Zion Cemetery.
Carol died Thursday, April 9, 2009, as a result of an automobile accident.
She was 45 years of age.
Carol was born on January 30, 1964, in Austin, the daughter of Edward and
Carol (Cruikshank) Cramer. She attended public school in Austin and Adams.
For the past six years she has resided in Glenville.
Carol was baptized and confirmed at the Zion Lutheran Church in Dexter.
She held her CDL with a Hazmat endorsement, was a certified welder, worked
with upholstery and was a hairdresser. She loved gardening, pets, (especially
Odie) camera club, travel, fishing and her archery team. Carol was very
creative and had many talents. She would do anything for anyone. She had
a special love for her nieces and nephews.
Carol is survived by her significant other, Todd Oakland of Glenville;
siblings: Sandra (David) Nelson of Lyle, Dale (Kevin) Lavely of Carson City,
Nev., Cynthia (Steve) Vogt of Sargeant, Vernette (Grant) Derdall of Ethan,
S.D., Sara (Darold) Bitterman of Tripp, S.D., Henry (Sonia) Cramer of Sioux
Falls, S.D., Ellen Cramer and fiancé Trevor Marotz of Watertown, S.D.;
stepmother, Rose Cramer of Stickney, S.D.; and stepfather, James Crichton
of Adams. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and foster parents,
Frances Hug and Gerald Gunderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Thomas Albert Wolf1944-2009
BORN IN AUSTIN
SHEFFIELD, IOWA - Thomas A. Wolf, 64, of Sheffield, died peacefully while surrounded by his family on Thursday, April 9, 2009, at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City after living with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) for the past two years.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockwell with the Rev. Jim Dubert presiding. Interment will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Visitation Cemetery, Stacyville, Mitchell county, Iowa.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Parish Hall in Rockwell with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the Sacred Heart Parish Hall.
Memorials may be directed to the Tom Wolf Scholarship Fund, Hospice of North Iowa or ALS Association in his memory.
Thomas Albert Wolf was born July 19, 1944, in Austin, Minnesota, the son of Ralph and Albina (Bastyr) Wolf. When he was 3 years old his family moved to Stacyville, Iowa. He graduated from Visitation High School in 1962, where he was active in baseball and basketball. It was during this time that he began working with youth in sports, a passion he carried on throughout his life.
Tom graduated from Mason City Junior College (now NIACC) in 1964 and the University of Northern Iowa in 1967. He began teaching social studies and coaching at St. Mary's High School in Storm Lake that same year.
Tom was united in holy matrimony with Ann Marie May on Dec. 20, 1969, at St. John's Church in Johnsburg, Minn. That same year Tom began teaching and coaching for Sheffield-Chapin School District at the middle school in Chapin. After Chapin closed its building, Tom worked in the elementary and high schools in Sheffield teaching social studies, P.E. and coaching. After retiring in 2001, Tom continued to coach basketball and golf until 2008.
Tom was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockwell since 1973 and served as a lector. He loved sports, playing town team baseball, slowpitch softball, tennis, basketball and golf. Tom was a life-long fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Boston Celtics. An early riser, Tom began each day with a long walk and was an avid reader. Above all else, his family was very special to him. He loved being a father and grandfather, and focused much of his time and energy on his family.
His family includes his wife of 39 years, Ann Wolf, Sheffield; sons, James (Kris) Wolf, Mason City, Benjamin (Kendra) Wolf, Grimes, and Abraham Wolf, Sheffield; grandchildren, Amara, Jacob and Ryan; sisters, Mary (John) Christoffersen, Gainesville, Fla., and Judy (Keith) Ramker, Leesburg, Fla; brothers, Ralph (Audrey) Wolf, Mason City, Richard (Mary) Wolf, Rockford, Ill., and Joe (Rosie) Wolf, Cedar Rapids; many nieces, nephews; and a large extended family.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John as an infant, and Paul in 2006.

Margaret Henrietta (nee Tesch) Murphy 1921-1994
Funeral services for Margaret H. Murphy, age 73, who died on October
29, 1994, were held on November 1, 1994 at the First Lutheran Church, St.
Ansgar, Iowa, with the Rev. Robert Porisch officiating.
Margaret Henrietta Tesch was born May 27, 1921 in Mitchell County, the daughter
of Otto E. Tesch and Mathilda (Groth) Tesch. She was baptized and confirmed
in St. Peter Lutheran Church, Toeterville. She attended country school in
Toterville and high school in St. Ansgar.
On May 18, 1941, she married Vernon Lee Murphy in
Albert Lea, Minnesota. They lived in Austin, Spring Valley and in Lyle,
Minnesota for many years. They retired in St. Ansgar.
Margaret was president of the American Legion Auxiliary in Lyle for many
years, and she was an active member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Lyle
and First Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar. She served as secretary of the
Senior Saints and enjoyed crafts.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Vernon, St. Ansgar; three sons,
Rueben and Ann Murphy, Lyle, Minnesota, Derald and Roxie Murphy, Maple
Grove, Minnesota; Dean and Joy Murphy of Denver, Colorado; two daughters,
Carolyn and Bruce Coleman of Kettle River, Minnesota, and Nyla and Larry
Hansen, St. Ansgar; 9 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, several
step great grandchildren; four sisters, Matie Torney, Elsie Decklever and
Agnes Decklever, all of Osage; Mathilda Olson, Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas;
two brothers, Otto and Rudolph Tesch, St. Ansgar; brother-in-law Melvin
Rohne of Lyle, Minnesota.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Elizabeth Rohne,
brother Alvin Tesch.
Burial was in First Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar.

Richard Allen “Dick” Johnson, Sr.1932-2009
Richard “Dick” Allen Johnson, Sr., 76, of Austin, died on April 12, 2009,
at Rochester Methodist Hospital.
He was born June 27, 1932 to Iver and Eva (Pratt) Johnson in Ebro, Minn.
The family moved to Austin where Dick graduated from high school in 1950.
He married Joanne Mathieu on Dec. 23, 1950 at the Little Brown Church in
Nashua, Iowa. They later divorced. A mechanic at Geo. A. Hormel and Co.,
he attended plumbing school at night.
Dick married Helen (Miller) Hunter on Sept. 23, 1976 in Las Vegas. After
46 years and 10 months, he retired from Hormel. An active member of St. Olaf
Lutheran Church, Dick served on the Building Committee, Church Council as
president, Radio Broadcast and fair booth. He was also an usher and
Stephen’s Minister. He coached the St. Olaf Fast Pitch Softball Team,
Youth Baseball and Hockey and enjoyed skiing, boating, summer trips to
Ten Mile Lake and coffee at Kenny’s Oak Grill.
Survivors include his wife, Helen, Austin; children, Renee’ (Reverend
Joel) Dahlen, Mason City, Iowa; Kay (Dan) Bjerke, Mason City, Iowa; Richard
“Dick” (Betty) Johnson, Jr., Austin; Janelle Baker, Eden Prairie; Todd (Lori)
Johnson, Bloomington; Mark (Kate) Hunter, Brownsdale; Joe Hunter, Austin;
Eric (Michelle) Johnson, St. Cloud; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren;
sister, Lois (Dan) McNally, Wasukesha, Wis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Beverly “Babe”
Peterson and two in infancy; and a grandson, Kevin Dahlen.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 16, 2009
at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with Pastor Ron Barnett officiating. Friends
may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Worlein Funeral
Home, Austin and at the church one hour prior to the service. Casket
bearers are: Jason Bjerke, Mark Dahlen, Mathieu Dahlen, Paul Hunter,
Nate Johnson and Paul Overocker. Honorary casketbearers are Alyssa Baker,
Brooke Baker, Meagan Baker, Sarah Dahlen, Naomi Fynboh, Anna Hunter,
Olivia Hunter, Caden Johnson, Erica Johnson, Heather Johnson, Whitney
Johnson, Bethany Kurschner, Kelley Siemon and Krista Tranowski. Interment
is at Oakwood Cemetery, Austin.
The family prefers memorials to St. Olaf Lutheran Church Building Fund
or donors’ choice.

Leo W. Wilson1926-2009
Leo W. Wilson, age 82, of Mesa, Arizona and Clear Lake, Minnesota, passed
away peacefully on April 4, 2009 in Mesa.
He was born April 13, 1926 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester to Fern and
Erma Wilson of Taopi, Minnesota. He married Katherine L. Ulrick on July
28, 1945 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Adams. Leo served his country
in the Philippines during World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps.
Leo retired in 1987 after 40 years as a cereal chemist working for
Shellabarger Milling, Robin Hood Flour and International Multifoods
throughout the Midwest. Leo was active as a leader in Boy Scouts for
23 years.
Starting as a Den Dad, and had several years as Scoutmaster for
Troop 62 in Wabasha. Many summer vacations were with the scouts at
summer Scout camp in Lake City and later Crow Wing, Minn. Leo received
the Scouting Silver Beaver service award. An active lifetime member in
both the American Legion Post 50 and worked as Post Commander of VFW
Post 4086 in Wabasha.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Katherine; children, Bradley
(Beth), Bonnie King, Brian (Julie), Bruce; eight grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Glenn; and son,
Joseph in infancy.
Private inurnment will be at Fort Snelling Cemetery at a later date.
