Funeral Notice:
Velma D. Meyer, 83, of Austin, Minnesota, died Friday, March 18, 2016,
at St. Mark's Lutheran Home.
Service: Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 23,
2016, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Karen Behling
officiating.
Visitation: Friends may call one hour before the service at the church
on Wednesday.

Obituary for Velma Darlene Meyer
Velma passed away peacefully on Friday March 18, 2016 at St. Marks
Lutheran Home in Austin, Minnesota—one week before her 84th birthday.
She was born March 25, 1932 at home in Elmore, Minnesota to Orville &
Lila Dobson. Velma graduated from Elmore High School in 1950. After
graduation she studied cosmetology in Mankato, and she worked at Ramseth
Beauty Salon in Austin, Minnesota. She went to Central Airline School in
Kansas City, Kansas and landed a job in reservations with Northwest
Airlines in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Eventually, she dedicated 35 years
as an office manager at the YMCA of Austin. After retiring, she worked
part time at the Spam Museum and Walmart.
On August 6, 1954, Velma married the love of her life Duane D. Meyer.
During their life together, they had 3 children. She loved spending time
with her family more than anything. Velma’s words to her family included,
"Remember me with smiles and laughter for that's the way I'll remember you
all. If you remember me with only tears and sadness then don’t remember
me at all."
She is survived by her children: Douglas (Kathy) Meyer of Austin,
Minnesota, Dawn (Charlie) Davis of Mound, Minnesota, and David Meyer. She
has six grandchildren: Mitchell (Stephanie), Marshall, Nicole, Amanda, Drew,
and Tracey Meyer and five great-grandchildren.
Velma was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
A memorial service will be held 11 am on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at
Our Savior’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Karen Behling officiating. Friends
may call one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.

Sister Brian (Joan Virginia) TAYLOR 1922-2016
Sister Brian Taylor, 94
Sister Brian Taylor, 94, a Franciscan Sister of the Congregation of
Our Lady of Lourdes, Rochester, Minnesota, died at Assisi Heights on
March 15, 2016.
Joan Virginia Taylor was born Feb. 15, 1922, in Adrian, Minnesota,
to Bryan C. and Carolyn (Krepfl) Taylor. She entered the Sisters of
St. Francis in 1941 from Saint Adrian Parish, Adrian. Sister Brian made
first vows in 1944 and perpetual vows in 1947. In 1961, she received a
Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.
Sister Brian began her teaching career in 1944 and for 50 years taught
in Catholic Schools in southern Minnesota. She served as a primary teacher
at Queen of Angels, Austin, Minnesota, from 1944-1949; St. John/St. Francis
School, Rochester from 1949-1953; St. Columba School, Iona from 1953-1957;
St. Augustine School, Austin from 1957-1961; and Cathedral School, Winona
from 1961-1963. She taught kindergarten and religious education at
St. Catherine School, Luverne from 1963-1964 and 1967-1975; religious
education at Sacred Heart Parish, Hayfield from 1964-1967; and kindergarten
Queen of Angels School, Austin from 1974-1994. Sister Brian was a Head Start
teacher aide in Austin Area Public Schools from 1994-1995 and did outreach
services for Catholic Charities in Austin from 1996-2001. She moved to
Assisi Heights in 2004.
Sister Brian is survived by her Franciscan Community with whom she shared
life for 74 years; and her brothers, James Taylor, Adrian, Minnesota, Carroll
Taylor, Minneapolis, Minnesota, William (Dee) Taylor, Worthington, Minnesota,
and Eugene Taylor, Adrian, Minnesota.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and five brothers, Earl Taylor,
Paul Taylor, Jerome Taylor, Fr. Robert Taylor, and Bryan Taylor.
A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at 11 a.m. in
the Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes at Assisi Heights, Rochester. A prayer
service, followed by visitation, will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2016.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Sisters of St. Francis, Office of
Development, Assisi Heights, 1001 14th St. NW, Rochester, MN, 55901.

Melba Luella (Sampson) Myhre 1916-2016
Melba L. Myhre, 99, of Austin, Minnesota, died Friday, March 18, 2016,
at Comforcare Good Samaritan Center in Austin.
Melba Luella was born October 13, 1916, in Nevada Township, Mower County,
Minnesota, to Hans and Mollie (Olson) Sampson. She attended country school
and graduated from Lyle High School. She was a longtime devoted member of
Six Mile Grove Lutheran Church in rural Lyle, Minnesota. Melba was a loving
mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be greatly missed by
her family and all who were blessed to have known her.
Survivors include her four children, Sharon (Don) Merten of Rose Creek,
Marva (Bob) Blake of Austin, Richard (Barbara) Myhre of Rochester, and Gary
(Cynthia) Myhre of Oak Grove; 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren,
three great great-grandchildren; and one niece.
Melba was preceded in death by her sons, Ted F. Myhre, and Roger E.
Myhre; grandson Tim P. Myhre; parents; brother Orin Sampson, and sister
Verna (Harvey) Haskin.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2016,
at Six Mile Grove Lutheran Church in rural Lyle, Minnesota, with Pastor
Scott Meyer officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday morning prior to
the service at Six Mile Grove Lutheran Church, from 9 to 11 a.m. Interment
will follow in the Six Mile Grove Church Cemetery. Services prearranged
and performed by Worlein Funeral Home of Austin. Condolences may be

Donald L. Fuller 1929-2016
Donald L. Fuller, age 86, of Austin, Minnesota, died peacefully on Friday,
March 18, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on
August 5, 1929 to Virgil and Opal (Root) Fuller in Hammond, Indiana. Don
grew up in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa area and attended schools there.
Don joined the U.S. Air Force at the age of 19. He was a career military
man and served his country in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Don was a Master
Sergeant and retired in 1978. On July 15, 1967 Donald married the love of
his life, Mitsuko Nagase at the Hamilton Air Force Base in California. He
was a member of the Methodist faith and enjoyed spending time with his
family.
Survivors include his loving wife, Mitsuko Fuller of Austin, Minnesota;
two sons, David (Shirley) Fuller who live in England and Kenneth Fuller of
Minneapolis, Minnesota; a daughter, Deborah (Donald) Knels of Fairview,
Montana; a sister, Joyce Middleton of Mesa, Arizona; 15 grandchildren; 11
great-grandchildren; and many other wonderful relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Virginia and Lyda;
and a son, Wayne.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Worlein Funeral
Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.

Kenneth Allen Trihus 1940-2016
Kenneth Allen Trihus, age 75 of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, died
Friday, March 25, 2016 surrounded by his loving family at Mayo Clinic
Hospital-Rochester, Methodist Campus. Kenneth was born July 14, 1940
in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, the son of Marvel and Olga (Madson)
Trihus. He was a lifelong resident of the Blooming Prairie area and
graduated from Blooming Prairie High School in 1958.
On November 27, 1971, he was united in marriage to Marjorie R. Swanson
at the First Lutheran Church in Hibbing, Minnesota. Kenneth worked for
forty-two seasons for Ulland Brothers Construction where he was a very
dedicated operator. He was a member of Local 49 Operating Engineers as
well as being a lifelong farmer. He enjoyed attending cattle shows, farm
and livestock auctions. He especially loved to spend time with his family
over meals at suppertime and attending his Local 49 meetings. Kenneth was
a lifetime member of Red Oak Grove Lutheran Church.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Marjorie Trihus; two sons, John
(Wendy Cadwell) Trihus and Brian Trihus all of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota;
a daughter, Rachel Trihus of Des Moines, Iowa; three grandchildren, Tyler
Trihus, Cassandra and Ruth Jones; as well as many nieces, nephews and other
relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by parents, Marvel and Olga
Trihus; two brothers, Gordon and Franklin Trihus and a sister, Elaine Lofthus.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, April 1, 2016 at
Red Oak Grove Lutheran Church, 30456 Mower Freeborn Road, Austin, Minnesota,
with Pastor Lindsay Stolen, officiating. Interment will follow the service
in the Red Oak Grove Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00
to 7:00 P.M., Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the Worlein Blooming Prairie
Funeral Home in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota and for one hour prior to
the service at the church on Friday. Military honors by Blooming Prairie
American Legion Post #52 and V.F.W. Post #878. In lieu of flowers,
memorials should be directed to the Red Oak Grove Cemetery fund.

Michael Romaine Morehouse 1946-2016
Michael Romaine Morehouse, 69, of Austin, Minnesota, died Sunday, March
20, 2016, at Mayo Clinic Health System of Austin.
Michael was born on September 29, 1946, in Little Canada St. Paul,
Minnesota, to Melchor J. and Martha A. (Ripka) Morehouse. He was the fourth
out of 13 children. They lived in Mora, Minnesota, until 1959 and they moved
to Austin. Michael graduated from Pacelli High School in 1964. He enlisted
in the U.S. Navy from 1964-1967. He met and married Michele (Baxter) in
February 1969. They had four children. Michael worked at Hills Heating
Cooling and Roofing for 30-some years, finally becoming a security guard
for Hormel Foods Inc., where he retired and worked part-time.
He is survived by his family, Michele Morehouse; four children, Kristine
Sawyer and Gary Voshell of Onamia, Minnesota, Jason and Lisa Morehouse of
Brownsdale, Minnesota, Jeromy Morehouse and Monica Fairchild of Austin,
Karena and Brock Tufte of Austin; 11 grandchildren, Kaycee and James
Voshell, Heather Gwilt (Chevy Brown) and Kyler Morehouse (Lacey Heyer)
Tori Fuller, Elaine, Taylor, Elizabeth, Sally, Shelby and Tyler Tufte;
six great-grandchildren, Faith, Kathyrn, Jazmyn, Jason, Isabella and
Paislee; brothers and sisters, Janet Seiver, Nancy (Terry) Lafin, Thomas
(Dawn) Morehouse, Mark (Jan) Morehouse, Scott (Linda) Morehouse, JoAnne
(Gene) Jiracek, Susan Morehouse, Mary (Joe) Lukens, Dianne Unruh and
(Dan), Steve Morehouse; along with many nieces and nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wayne and James
Morehouse; brothes-in-law, James Seiver and Keith Unruh; sisters-in-law,
Peggy Morehouse, Jan Morehouse, Lynne Shada; parent-in-laws, Gaylord and
Connie Baxter; and a granddaughter Katelin Sawyer.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2016,
at Mayer Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday,
March 23, 2016, at Mayer Funeral Home and again an hour prior to the
funeral service on Thursday. Military rites will be performed by the
Austin American Legion Post No. 91 and the Austin VFW Post No. 1216.
Burial will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Grandview

Ruth Marilyn (Jensen) Wood 1933-2016
Ruth Marilyn Wood, 82, of Sargeant, Minnesota, passed away on March 20,
2016, at Good Samaritan Society Comforcare in Austin, Minnesota.
Ruth was born on November 29, 1933, the daughter of Henry and Alma (Ness)
Jensen in Sargeant Township, Minnesota. She was a lifetime member of
Evanger Lutheran Church. Ruth attended District 111 country school and
graduated from Austin High School in 1952. She worked as a secretary in
Austin after graduation. She was an active member of the Rural Youth
Group and the friendships she made within that group endured for a lifetime.
Ruth married the love of her life, Lawrence Wood, at Evanger Lutheran
Church on December 29, 1960. She was a dedicated wife and mother who loved
her family. She enjoyed sewing, making many bridal and prom gowns and
mending many pairs of jeans. She also loved to knit and crochet. Ruth
volunteered much of her time to her church; teaching, singing, and
serving as WELCA president for Evanger and the Synod. She especially
enjoyed being involved in the annual church lutefisk suppers.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Lawrence Wood, Sargeant, Minnesota;
Heidi (Cary) Goemann, Wells, Minnesota; Greg (Bobbie Jean Rollie) Wood,
Pine Island, Minnesota; Sonja (James) Posey, Kasson, Minnesota; seven
grandchildren: Kyle, Aaron, Hannah, Garrit, Raelyn, Braxdon, and Maren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; twin infant sons, Steven and
Douglas; and special cousin, Tom Ness.
The memorial service for Ruth Marilyn Wood will be 2 p.m. Friday,
March 25, 2016, at Evanger Lutheran Church, 33554 — 660th Avenue in rural
Sargeant, Minnesota, with the Rev. Dwight DoBell officiating. Inurnment
will be in Evanger Lutheran Cemetery in rural Sargeant. Visitation will
be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Czaplewski Family Funeral
Home, 501 — 2nd Street NW in Hayfield, and one hour before the service
at the church on Thursday. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer

Lisa Marie (Gerber) Aden 1973-2016
Lisa Marie Aden (Gerber), 42, passed away at her home in Wasilla, Alaska,
on Saturday morning, March 19, 2016.
Lisa was born on May 20, 1973, in Austin, Minnesota, to James Gerber
and Rhonda Gerber (Helebrant). She moved with her family to Spokane,
Washington, in 1979. This was home until adulthood when Lisa and her
husband, Mark, moved to Austin so Lisa could go to Riverland Community
College to get a nursing degree. As soon as she graduated they moved to
Anchorage, Alaska, where Lisa was employed at Providence hospital as an
R.N. Eight years ago they welcomed a son, Nate. As a family they enjoyed
all the wonderful things that Alaska has to offer, especially fishing. She
will be missed by her family and friends both here and in Alaska.
Lisa is survived by her husband Mark Aden; and son, Nate, in Wasilla,
Alaska; her mother, Rhonda Gerber(Helebrant) in Rochester; her sister
Debbie Getchell (James) in St. Charles, Minneosta; two brothers, Adam
in Austin and Jacob (Kris) in Rochester; nieces and nephews, Sierra, Garrett,
Jae, Owin, Olive, and Osa; and grandfather Bernie Helebrant in Austin.
She is preceded in death by her dad, James; and grandparents, Patricia
Stevens, Eugene and Charlene Gerber.

Muriel L. (Hemann) Wagner 1929-2016
Muriel L. Wagner, 86, died unexpectedly Sunday, March 20, 2016,
surrounded by loved ones, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.
Muriel was born on May 27, 1929, to William and Ina (Enright) Hemann in
Austin. She was the youngest of three children. After graduating from St.
Augustine High School, she began working in the office at Hormel Foods
and waited for her high school sweetheart, David Wagner, to return from
his U.S. Army station in Japan. They were wed July 2, 1949, in Austin.
Muriel became a homemaker and she and David raised five children. David
passed away in 2007, but she remained in their lovely family home of almost
64 years. She loved working in her flower garden and enjoyed solving
crossword puzzles, reading, big band music and card games with her family.
Muriel will be remembered for her tastefulness and elegance. She was devoted
to her faith and her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew and
loved her.
Survivors include daughters, Susan (Tom) Peterson, Big Bend, Wisconsin;
Mary Beth (Tom) Green, Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota; Amy (Peter) Wangen,
Austin; sons, Terry (Barb) Wagner; Tim (Pam) Wagner, Austin; 14
grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and her sister, Joyce Mallory,
Austin.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brother, Kenneth
Hemann.

Pete Economou 1924-2016
Born: April 12, 1924
Died: March 19, 2016
Pete Economou, 91, of Bloomington, Minnesota, formerly of Austin,
Minnesota, passed away on March 19, 2016.
Pete was a member of Holy Anargyroi Greek Orthodox Church in Rochester.
After immigrating from Ano Lousi, Greece, in 1956, Pete went on to own the
Midtown Cafe in Austin for over 17 years with his wife, Tacia. Pete loved
to garden; his yard was filled with beautiful flowers, fruits and vegetables.
For many years he also gardened a separate plot of land in southwest Austin,
the bounty of which he always shared with family and friends.
He is survived by children, Olga, Themis (Kathy), Maria (Jeff);
grandchildren, Annie, Crissy, Peter, Sophia and Penelope; nephews, Angelo
(Gina), Costas and Andreas.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Tacia; mother, Olga; father,
Themistocles; two sisters; a brother-in-law; and in-laws, Maria and Strato.
Pete was proud of his Greek heritage and garden, but above all, he was
proud of his family — they will miss him dearly. May his memory be eternal.
Special thanks to Mary Rogotzke for her help and exceptional care over the
past months.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be directed to
either: Philoxenia House, Rochester, Minnesota, or Abbott Northwestern
Hospital Foundation, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Services will be held Saturday, March 26, 2016, at 11 a.m. at
Clasen-Jordan Mortuary in Austin with Father Mark Munoz and Father
George Dokos officiating. Trisagion will take place at 10 a.m. with
visitation to follow until the time of the service. Interment will be
at Calvary Cemetery. There will be a luncheon at the Holiday Inn following
the interment.

Everett Curtis Lee
Born: September 24, 1916
Died: March 21, 2016
Everett C. Lee, 99 of Austin, Minnesota, died Monday, March 21, 2016,
at St. Mark's Lutheran Home.
Everett Curtis Lee was born on September 24, 1916 in Turtle Lake,
North Dakota, the son of Elmer and Clara (Esplein) Lee. Everett married
Joy L. Billick on September 26, 1937 in Byron, Minnesota. He started at
Hormel at the age of 16 and worked until his retirement in 1978. Everett
and Joy moved to Port Charlotte, Florida where they lived for 24 years
before moving back to Austin. Everett and Joy traveled a lot, visiting
almost all 50 states. In his spare time, he liked to fish, go for daily
walks, and tend his garden.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Joy, two brothers and
three sisters.
Everett is survived by his children: Jeannette (Richard) Lange, Bruce,
WI; Ilene Sternal, Punta Gorda, FL; Raymond Lee and Svetlana, Austin, MN;
Judy Lange, Rochester, MN; Ardith (William) Wagner, Austin, MN; Patricia
(John) Weldon, Brownsdale, MN; 17 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren;
seven great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Saturday, March 26th at
St. Olaf Lutheran Church with Todd Portinga, AiM officiating. Interment

Alta Jane (Myhre) Joynes 1928-2016
Born: January 29, 1928
Died: March 21, 2016
Alta J. Joynes, 88, formerly of Lyle and Austin, Minnesota, died Monday,
March 21, 2016 at Wildwood Grove in LeRoy, Minnesota.
Alta was born on January 29, 1928 in Austin, Minnesota, to Conrad and
Veta (Pope) Myhre. She graduated from Lyle High School in 1947. Alta married
Norman G. Farlinger on October 21, 1947 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in
Lyle. Together they had three children and farmed in the Lyle area until
1955 when they moved into town. Norman G. passed away in 1969 and Alta
began working for the Lyle School as a cook for the next six years. Alta
married Norman L. Joynes on August 10, 1974 in Rochester, Minnesota. They
moved to Albert Lea in 1975 where Alta worked as a baker for a local cafe.
Alta loved to bake pies, cakes and cookies; it didn’t matter what she baked,
it was always good! Later in their retirement, Alta and Norman L. moved to
Austin.
She was a member Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Lyle and volunteered
with the "Willing Workers" for Woodbury Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Norman G.
Farlinger in 1969, second husband Norman L. Joynes in 2015, step grandson
Tony Coughlin, sisters Loretta Leidall and Florence Golberg.
Alta is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Darwin and Swanee
Farlinger, Austin, MN and David and Kathy Farlinger, LeRoy, MN; daughter
and son-in-law: Diane and Jeff Korte, Forest City, IA; step daughter:
Elizabeth Coughlin, Austin, MN; eight grandchildren; one step granddaughter;
several great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law: Eugene and Audrey
Myhre, St. Ansgar, IA; nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, March 28th at
Woodbury Cemetery with the Reverend Scott Meyer officiating. There will be
a lunch and reception at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Lyle following the
interment service. Clasen-Jordan Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Robert J. Dunn 1927-2016
Robert J. Dunn, 88, of Austin, Minnesota, died Thursday, March 17, 2016,
at Mayo Clinic Health System-Austin.
Bob was born September 9, 1927, in Moose Lake, Minnesota, to John and
Bertha (Strehlow) Dunn. He married Ellen Thompson of Albert Lea in August
1950. To this union three daughters and a son were born, Mary Ellen
McCarren, Oakland, California, Kathryn Dunn, Tucson, Arizona, Pat
(David) Larson, Austin, Minnesota, and Robert Michael Dunn who passed
away in April 2001.
After serving in the United State Air Force he was an electrician for
the Hormel Company for 41-and-a-half years. Boating, camping, traveling,
and flying were his hobbies. Bob and Ellen also delivered motor homes to
dealers and took many cruises.
Bob did volunteer service and was in the Honor Guard for veterans'
funerals and was a member of the American Legion and disabled American
Veterans.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen, Austin, Minnesota; three daughters;
grandsons, Jeremy Ashton, Justin Ashton, and Tom Dunn; great-grandchildren;
nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Bertha; son, Robert;
sisters, Elizabeth and Lorraine (brother-in-law, Frank); sister-in-law,
Beulah Sorby (Jerry); brothers-in-law, Larry Thompson (Marion), Dewain
Thompson (Shirly), Melvin Thompson.
Graveside services are being planned for a later date. Arrangements by

Katherine (Avery) Nagle 1915-2016
Katherine Nagle, 100, of Austin, Minnesota, died Wednesday, March 23,
2016, at Primrose Retirement Community.
Katherine Avery was born July 30, 1915, in Fargo, North Dakota, the
daughter of Elmer and Emma (Pichner) Avery. She graduated from high school
in Minneapolis before attending the University of Minnesota, where she
received her undergraduate degree and Pharmacy degree. On July 30, 1945,
she was united in marriage to Donald Nagle in Minneapolis. Shortly after
their marriage, the couple moved to Austin. Katherine made her living as
a pharmacist at various Austin pharmacies over the years, including St.
Olaf Hospital. An avid reader, she enjoyed traveling, crossword puzzles,
cooking and playing bridge. Katherine belonged to the First United Methodist
Church and was a past member of the Zonta club.
Survivors include her husband Donald Nagle of Austin, Minnesota; her son
Lon Nagle also of Austin; her daughter Barbara (Andy) Harbut of Mesa,
Arizona; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and one
great-great-grandchild.
Katherine was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Emma Avery; her
son Bruce; her daughter-in-law Carol; and one brother Wilton Avery.
A private family graveside service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery at
a later date. Memorials can be directed to the First United Methodist
Church or recipient of donor’s choice. Services prearranged and performed
by Worlein Funeral Home of Austin.

Willard Dean "Bill" Knutson 1922-2016
Bill Knutson passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016. He will be greatly
missed by his family, friends, and so many who knew him by his friendly
smile and kind greeting.
Bill was born on June 30, 1922, In Rake, Iowa, to Eddie and Ella Knutson.
He graduated from high school in Adams, Minnesota. He was employed by George
A. Hormel as office manager in the Dallas plant and was then named general
credit manager for the Hormel Corporate Office in Austin, Minnesota, until
his retirement. Bill and his wife Barbara moved to Longview, Texas, in 1984.
Bill served as a medic in the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States
Army from October 1942 to September 1945. He was in the five major battles,
including the Battle of the Bulge and the Normandy Invasion.
He dearly loved being with his family and enjoyed spending time talking
about current events, playing cards and board games, and watching sports.
Making Lefse at family gatherings was a tradition that spans over four
generations. He loved to laugh and brought joy to everyone he met. He
didn't know a stranger and had a special gift of making each person feel
important. He loved well! He will be remembered by his great hugs and his
standard phrase "be kind to each other."
Bill was a member of First Lutheran Church in Longview.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jane Knutson; his parents,
Eddie and Ella Knutson; two brothers, Al and Vance Knutson; and a grandson,
Brad Lemmerman.
He is survived by his children, daughter and son-in-law Jan and Don
MacClary of Littleton, Colorado; son and daughter-in-law Dr. Larry and
Debbie Knutson of Longview, Texas; and daughter and son-in-law Linda and
John Hines of Alba, Texas. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 20
great-grandchildren, who affectionately called him "Papa Texas."
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday afternoon at
Rader Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday,
March 26, 2016, at First Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Jeff Borgwardt
officiating. Entombment will follow in Rosewood Park Mausoleum. Services
are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.

Elmer Peterman 1893-1918
Death removed the first soldier boy from Lyle in the final summons
which took Elmer Peterman who was at Camp Hancock, Georgia. Elmer left
home on September 5 with the drafted boys for Camp Grant, 111. After
three weeks training there he was transferred with about forty others,
to Camp Hancock, Georgia. He was taken sick and though at first it was
thought not dangerous, he passed away Sunday, October 6, at the hospital.
Deceased was born in Lyle Center April 2, 1893 on the old home farm and
here his life was spent at home at school and at work until he answered the
call to the colors. Two brothers are serving their country, Roy, at Camp
Newport News, Va., and James at Camp Hancock, Augusta, Georgia. His parents,
Mr and Mrs. Frank Peterman are living, also two sisters, Laura and Anna and
two brothers, Charlie and George, all at home. He gave his life for his
country and his parents have the sympathy of all in their loss.
Funeral services were held city Sunday in charge of Rev. Moe, at the
Lyle Lutheran church.

Mary E. (Burgess) Carter 1844-1917
Mrs. Luman D. Carter.
Mrs. Luman D. Carter passed from this earthly life Thursday evening,
July 5th, just one month from the date her husband was buried, after an
illness lasting several months.
Mary E. Burgess, second youngest daughter of Jonathan and Oril Hitchcock
Burgess, was born near Waukegan, Ill., June 27, 1844. When but a little
girl her parents located at Lime Springs, Iowa, where she received her
early education and where she later taught school. In 1860 the family
moved to Mower county and she again engaged in teaching at Cedar City,
many of her pupils still live to mourn her loss.
She was married September 23, 1863, to Luman D. Carter, and to them
were born seven children, two sons and five daughters, all of whom are
living. Charles of Ft. Dodge, Iowa; Edward S. of Tehachapi, Cal.; Cairrie
Engledrum of Long Beach, Cal.; Minnie De Groff of Minneapolis; Oril Lewis,
Nellie Lewis and Edith Tyler of Austin. Two brothers also survive her, Rev.
C. W. Burgess of Lime Springs and H. L. Burgess of this city.
After their marriage, Mr. Carter enlisted and his bride accompanied him
to Fort Ripley where she cooked for the soldiers. After the war she was
with her husband at Sauk Center until he received his discharge.
She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed social activities. She was
a member of the Eastern Star, Relief Corps Ladies, of the G. A. R., the
Friendship Club and other church and social orders. She was a member of
the Methodist and enjoyed the activities of church life. Her kindly and
loving disposition made for her many warm friends who mourn her demise.
The funeral was held Sunday afternoon from the home and Methodist church,
conducted by Rev. Mohney and the remains laid to rest beside those of her
husband in Oakwood cemetery.

Ethel Lavina (Cobb) Hildebrand 1880-1917
Mrs. Harvey Hildebrand
The death of Mrs. Harvey Hildebrand marks the passing out of this world
of one of God's noblest women, and the breaking up of a beautiful home
wherein devoted husband and wife were just beginning to drink of life in
its fullness. A woman of sterling qualities, a loving daughter, dear
sister, a most beloved wife, her christian influence permeated all the
activities of her life. Her sudden demise (unlooked for because her
health and spirits seemed the best until a few hours previous) in the
prime of life, at the time of the budding of her dearest and fondest
hopes, is like unto the "broken pitcher at the fountain."
Ethel Lavina Cobb was born at Mona, Iowa, Sept. 26, 1880 and her girlhood
days were spent there. Her educational training included courses at Cedar
Falls Normal, Winona Normal, Thomas Training school at Detroit and at Stout
Institute. For 3 years she was engaged as teacher in our Lyle schools, one
year at Minnereka, one year at Le Roy and later as head of the department
of economics in Marshall High School.
She became affiliated with the Lyle Congregational church Dec. 1, 1895.
Her marriage occurred June 10th, 1914. It was as housewife and mistress of
the home that the talents and virtues of this generous soul shone ih their
true splendor. While a happy expectant mother her earthly career was
suddenly ended by her death on March 13, 1917, from pueperal eclampsia.

John Osborne 1851-1917
John Osborne passed away at the home of Miss Deming, Saturday March
17, 1917, of heart failure. He had been about as usual and was out in
the yard walking around and on entering the house sank into a chair
unconscious. Dr. Leck was called but he had passed away before his
arrival.
He was born November 2, 1851, and was one of a family of ten children,
all of whom are living except his brother George who died last September.
He was generally known as Uncle John. The funeral services were held
Tuesday at the Chapel, conducted by Rev. Mahoney.

Amy (Carter, Darrah) Galloway 1837-1917
Mrs. Amy Galloway one of Austin's brightest and most loved women passed
away at her home last Thursday morning. She had been failing since she
fell a few weeks previous and her last sickness was pneumonia. She was
nearly eighty years old and kept up bravely until the end which came just
after midnight Wednesday.
Mrs. Galloway was one of the Christian mothers whose life in our midst
made many people happy by her acts of cheerfulness and kindness, She spent
some of the time of her later years traveling about and enjoying the
beauties of the world. She visited Hawaii and spent several seasons in
California.
Amy M. Carter, daughter of John and Charlotte (Phelps) Carter, the former
a native of Vermont and the latter of Canada, was born at Milton, Shefford
County, Canada, June 22, 1837. She was married to Mr. James Darrah, June
16, 1857, in Providence, R. I. Mr. Darrah died, in 1862. He had been
home on a furlough from the war and was returning back to his regiment,
when attacked by a skirmishing party, he was shot and killed.
Mrs. Darrah with her little daughter Estelle M., came west and settled
at Cedar City where her father and mother were then living. She was married
on June 8, 1868 to Albert Galloway of this city and took to her heart and
her life the two motherless children, Will and Rose, the latter now the
wife of C. W. Tyler of Breckenridge, which were already in the Galloway
home. To Mr. and Mrs. Galloway were born two sons, Charles D. and Elbert,
both of Austin, who with her daughter, Estelle M. Dyke of New York City,
all survive her. Mr. Galloway died October 6, 1907. She leaves beside her
children, five brothers and two sisters; A. E. Carter, L. D. Carter, Dan
Carter of Austin, John Carter of Lyle and Rev. T. E. Carter of Dewey,
Oklahoma, Mrs. Emma Hoy of Minneapolis and Mrs. C. A. Jones of Boone, Iowa.
Also six grand-children. One brother and three sisters are dead.
She was a member of the Methodist church all her life, also a member of
the Ladies of the G. A. R.

Jason A. Fraser 1848-1916
Jason A. Fraser died at his home six miles south of Austin Thursday
afternoon, July 13, at 4 o'clock. Death was due to a stroke of paralysis
which Mr. Fraser had suffered three years ago last February and from which
he never entirely rallied. He was able to be around, but never able to
take up active labor after that time.
Jason A. Fraser was one of a family of nine children. He was born in
Haldimind, Ontario, Canada, May 13, 1848. He was married in the place of
his birth, December 25, 1873 to Miss Mary Ann Bradley. To them seven
children were born, all of whom survive him and live near Austin, Mrs.
Park Brandon, Robert A., Chauncey A., Ruth and Agnes. Also Orin J., of
Rowley, la., and Will of Montana. He is also survived by his wife and his
oldest brother, the latter of whom resides in Michigan.
Mr. Frazer was a life long member of the Methodist church. He was a
congenial companion and neighbor, liked by old and young alike. He was a
man who never made enemies but always had a good word for all.
The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the house with
burial in the Enterprise cemetery.

Mrs. D. L. (Nee Phelps) Niles 1838-1915
Mrs. D. L. Niles
Mrs. Niles died Tuesday night in Minneapolis.
Miss D. L. Phelps was born in Canada East 1838. The family, twelve
sons and daughters, moved with their parents to Wisconsin and then to
Lyle and Austin township in 1856. Mrs. Niles is the last of her large
family to pass away. Had she lived a few weeks longer she would have
been 77 years of age. She taught school at Cedar City previous to her
marriage to John B. Niles, which took place at the residence of her
sister Mrs. Alfred Cressey on the farm four miles south of Austin.
The marriage ceremony was performed by Rev. David Tice who built the
first M. E. church in Austin. Her husband died years ago. She since
lived with her daughter Mrs. Thomas Parker in Minneapolis.
The body was brought here for burial Thursday and services were held
Friday afternoon at one o'clock from the Eaton Officer home, 102 Cedar
street. Rev. Cressey assisted Dr. Stout who conducted the service.

Marilyn Carol (Block) Lewis 1935-2016
Marilyn Carol Lewis, 81, died peacefully with her family around her at The
Neighbors of Dunn County Memory Care facility in Menomonie, Wisconsin, on
Saturday, March 26, 2016. She had resided there for almost two-and-a-half years.
She was born February 25, 1935, in St. Ansgar, Iowa, and was raised in
Lyle, Minnesota. She married Richard Lewis on June 24, 1954, in Austin,
Minnesota. They lived in Austin until 1961 and then moved to Stewartville.
They moved to Rochester in 1988.
Mrs. Lewis was a homemaker and with her husband raised five children.
During her husband’s illness and subsequent death, she worked outside the
home at Mayo Clinic until 2000. After her retirement, she was an avid
volunteer for many organizations including the Red Cross and Mayo Clinic.
She enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and traveling.
Survivors include four daughters, Kris (Steven) Anderson of Rosemount,
Minnesota, Jane (Greg) Henderson of Hudson, Wisconsin, Sue (Thomas) Slightam
of Stewartville, Minnesota, Marny (Kyle) Billings of Stewartville, Minnesota;
a son, Jim (Lori) of Colfax, Wisconsin; 11 grandchildren, and three
great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Ann (Cliff) Diggins,
Gloria (Sonny) Read; and three brothers, Dick, Phillip, and Dave Block.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
The memorial service for Marilyn Carol Lewis will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday,
March 31, 2016, at the United Methodist Church in Stewartville. The Rev.
Wane Souhrada will officiate. If so desired, memorials may be directed to

Cora Jane (Butts) Carson 1878-1920
MRS. C. L. CARSON LAID TO REST AT WOODBURY FRIDAY
Cora Jane Butts who died March 15 at Amery, Wis., was born July 2, 1878,
at Woodbury, Minn., and moved with her parents to the home near London when
she was nine years old, and there grew to womanhood.
She was married to C. L. Carson Dec. 20, 1906 and lived in this vicinity
until 1912, when they moved to Amery, Wis. Her death came as a great shock
to her folks and many friends as he did sewing in their homes for several
years. Her health had not been very good for about a year but she was always brave and cheerful.
Mrs. Carson had been for a visit with the home folks, bidding them goodby only six weeks ago, they little thinking then it would be the last time. She was confined to her bed only sixteen hours with that dread disease, diabetis mellitus. She leaves to mourn her untimely death, her husband and one son Chester Roy, nine years old, her aged father and mother who are both in poor health, and one sister, Mrs. Will Wynn of Mitchell, Iowa, besides a host of friends and neighbors both here and at her late home at Amery, Wis.
Mrs. Carson united with the Methodist Episcopal Church at the age of eighteen and always remained true to her faith. At the time of her death she was a member of the Valgo Ladies Aid.
She was a loving wife and mother, always devoted to her home and family, a thoughtful, loving daughter, thinking more of the comfort of others than of herself.
Funeral services were held at her parent's home near London and the body laid to rest in Woodbury Cemetery, Friday afternoon.

Alfred Dennison c1890-1920
DEAD FROM INFLUENZA
Alfred Dennison, Living 6 Miles South of City Succumbs To Disease Today
Alfred Denison, 29 years old well liked and widely known young farmer,
living six miles south of Austin died suddenly early this morning from
the effects of influenza which developed into pneumonia. He took sick
last Wednesday growing worse Friday night.
Mr. Dennison leaves to mourn his untimely death, a wife and two children.
He was a young man of the finest character, thrifty and industrious, always
anxious to assist and serve his neighbors.
The funeral, which is private, will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow
afternoon with interment in Enterprise cemetery.

George Edward Osborn c1863-1916
George E. Osborn died Thursday at St. Olaf hospital of cancer of the
bowels. Deceased was born in Cedar City 53 years ago, and has always lived
near Austin. His father and mother are dead but he was the first of a
family of ten children to pass away. His sisters and brothers are John
and Arad Osborn and Mrs. Melissa Evans of this city, Wm. of Underwood,
Minn., Chas. and Herb. S. of Bellingham, Wash., Henrietta Marsh of Reading,
Mich., Nancy J. of Vassar, Manitoba and Stephen of Baraboo, Wis.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 1:30 by Rev. Wade from the
Henry Denning home southwest of the city. Interment in Cedar City cemetery.

Dale Richard Wood 1952-2016
Dale Richard Wood, 63
Dale Richard Wood, known to most as Woody, 63, of Lake City died
Friday, March 25, 2016, at his residence.
He was born October 17, 1952, in Austin, Minnesota, to Richard and Violet
(Malchow) Wood. He grew up in Austin and graduated high school from there.
In December of 1970, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in
Berlin, Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1972. He moved to Lake
City and began working at Federal Mogul, where he worked for 43 years
until retiring in April 2015. On August 10, 1996, he married Kim Beck in
Lake City. Dale was a member of the Lake City VFW Post No. 8729. He
enjoyed camping, darts, beanbags, gambling, the Minnesota, Twins, but
most of all the Minnesota Vikings.
Dale is survived by his wife, Kim of Lake City; four daughters, Natalie
(Kert) Nelson of Faribault, Rachael Wood of Roseville, Jessica (Neil) Bauman
of Blooming Prairie, Angela (Neo Richardson) Wood of Rochester; son, J.D.
(Cece) Wood of Faribault; step-daughters, Shawna O'Reilly of Rochester,
Kelly (Ken) Alber of Manchester, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; brother, Dennis
Wood of Apache Junction, Arizona; three sisters, Mavis Wood of Colorado
Springs, Colorado, Patty (Dale) Lundberg of Austin, Minnesota, Shirley
Springer of Indianapolis, Indiana.
He is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Violet Wood; and
brother, Dean Wood.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at Bethany
Lutheran Church with the Rev. Scott Fiege Officiating. Visitation will be
5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at Mahn Family Funeral Home,
Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City and for one hour prior to the service
at the church on Wednesday. Burial will take place at Ft. Snelling National

Frank Allen Dvorak 1942-2016
Frank Allen Dvorak, 73, of Buckeye, Arizona, and Tofte, Minnesota, died
as a result of metastatic colon cancer Feb. 28, 2016, in his home with his
family by his side.
Frank was born to the late Viola and Frank Dvorak November 4, 1942, in
Austin, Minnesota. He was raised in Austin with his sister Ann Nordlund
of Bemidji, Minnesota. Frank graduated from Austin High School in 1960
and received a Bachelors Degree, magna cum laude, in Economics from Hamline
University in St. Paul, Minnesota, in 1963. He married the love of his life
Barbara Gale McMahon Dvorak in 1963. Frank graduated magna cum laude from
the University of Minnesota Law School in 1967. He lived and practiced law
briefly in southern California. The rest of his life Frank was a true
Minnesotan, living and working in Plymouth and Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Frank practiced law for 45 years as a partner at Foley & Mansfield and
Mackall, Crounse & Moore in Minneapolis. He raised a family in Plymouth,
Minnesota, becoming very involved in the New Hope -- Plymouth Athletic
Association and co-founding the Breck School Spirit Association. Frank
was also deeply involved in the DFL Party, helping manage and coordinate
local political campaigns.
Frank touched so many lives with his generous spirit. Whether it was the
Legal Aid Society of Minnesota, Hamline University, Brunswick United
Methodist Church of Crystal, Minnesota, or the Epilepsy Foundation of
Minnesota for which he served as legal counsel, Frank always made time
and the effort to help in any way he could.
One of his most treasured accomplishments was being inducted into the
Hamline University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006. Frank loved all sports
whether it was pitching for his Wooddale Fathers softball team or attending
men’s basketball games at the University of Minnesota for over 35 years.
Frank is survived by his wife Barb Dvorak of Buckeye, Arizona, and Tofte,
Minnesota; two of his children, Mike Dvorak of Plymouth, Minnesota, and
Heather Dvorak-Lain of Anthem, Arizona; his two grandchildren, Trevor
Lain and Teagan Dvorak; and his two beloved dogs Scamp and Rocket.
Frank is preceded in death by his son, Dean Dvorak.
A memorial service will be held May 14 at 11 a.m. at Hamline University
Methodist Church in St. Paul, Minnesota. Instead of flowers the family
requests that donations be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota

Robert John Dunn 1927-2016
Obituary for Robert John Dunn
Robert J. Dunn, age 88, of Austin, Minnesota, died Thursday, March 17,
2016 at Mayo Clinic Health System-Austin.
Bob was born September 9, 1927, in Moose Lake, Minnesota to John and Bertha
(Strehlow) Dunn. He married Ellen Thompson of Albert Lea in August 1950. To
this union three daughters and a son were born: Mary Ellen McCarren, Oakland,
CA, Kathryn Dunn, Tucson, AZ, Pat (David) Larson, Austin, MN, Robert Michael
Dunn (passed away, April 2001).
After serving in the United State Air Force he was an electrician for
the Hormel Company for 41 years. Boating, camping, traveling, and flying
were his hobbies. Bob and Ellen also delivered motor homes to dealers and
took many cruises.
Bob did volunteer service and was in the Honor Guard for veterans'
funerals and was a member of the American Legion and disabled American
Veterans.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen, Austin, Minnesota; three daughters;
grandsons, Jeremy Ashton, Justin Ashton, and Tom Dunn; great-grandchildren;
nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Bertha; son, Robert;
sisters, Elizabeth and Lorraine (brother-in-law, Frank); sister-in-law,
Beulah Sorby (Jerry); brothers-in-law, Larry Thompson (Marion), Dewain
Thompson (Shirly), Melvin Thompson.
Graveside services are being planned for a later date.

Alice J. Moldenhauer, 89
Alice J. Moldenhauer, 89, of Austin, Minnesota, died Saturday afternoon,
March 26, 2016, at Sacred Heart Care Center in Austin.
Alice Jean Dykeman was born December 28, 1926, in Winona, Minnesota, the
daughter of Floyd and Alta (Warner) Dykeman. A 1944 graduate of Winona
High School, Alice worked as a waitress at the Garden Gate in Winona. She
married Donald J. Moldenhauer on January 2, 1951. The couple lived in Winona,
Minnesota, and Los Angeles, California, before moving to Austin in the
summer of 1957, where they became members of the First Baptist Church.
In Austin, she worked as a waitress at Don’s Café and then at the Elks
Club from 1970-2011. Alice loved spending time with her children and
family, who will dearly miss her.
Survivors include her sons, Scott Moldenhauer, and Jeff (Valerie)
Moldenhauer, both of Austin; four grandchildren, Jason, Jane, Jeanna,
and Julie; three great-grandchildren, Adelai, Audrey, and Aliza.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Alta Dykeman;
her husband Donald Moldenhauer in April 1994; and her brother Dean Dykeman.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2016,
at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin with Pastor Brett Williams
officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March
29, 2016, at Worlein Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on
Wednesday. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery.
The Moldenhauer family would like to express special thanks to Norma Jane
for her faithful correspondence with Alice during her nursing home stay.
Her pretty cards and letters were helpful along with Jeff’s phone calls
that kept the two interacting as long as possible; also thanks to Jean
Hagan (Alice’s roommate) for her love and kindness; thanks and appreciation
to Sacred Heart Care Center for keeping Alice feeling loved, comfortable
and cared for during her entire stay; and finally, thanks to cousin
Margaret for her comforting way and her helping spirit in times of loss.

Linda Elaine Pieper 1948-2016
Linda E. Pieper, 68, of Rochester, Minnesota, died Sunday, March 27,
2016, at her residence in Rochester.
Linda Elaine Pieper was born on March 4, 1948, to Jerry and Mildred
(Ulwelling) Pieper in Austin, Minnesota. She was raised and grew up in
Rose Creek and Austin.
Linda lived at Hiawatha Homes in Rochester for the past 13 years and
worked for Cedar Valley Workshop in Austin for over 30 years as well as
Ability Building Centers in Rochester. Linda enjoyed Lawrence Welk music,
bowling, and shooting pool.
She is survived by her mother, Mildred Pieper of Pine Island, Minnesota;
brother, Mike (Renee) Pieper of Rochester, Minnesota; sister, Carol
Forrester of Austin, Minnesota; three nieces, Tracey (Steven) Maxfield,
Jessica Pieper, and Rebecca Pieper; and one nephew Todd Forrester.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry.
There will be a funeral service on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at 11 a.m.
at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW Rochester,
Minnesota. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10
to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ranfranz and Vine. Burial will take place at

Shirley Mae (Greenlee) Gomer 1924-2016
Shirley Mae Gomer, 91, of Austin, Minnesota, died at her home on
Sunday, March 27, 2016.
Shirley was born in Austin on November 9, 1924, to Jim and Clarissa
(Titus) Greenlee. She attended Austin High School. After her schooling,
she worked for George A. Hormel Inc. for a few years then she moved to
California to work at Coronado Island during World War II. On April 27,
1946, Shirley married Harold Gomer at Queen of Angels Catholic Church in
Austin. They started a family and Shirley became a homemaker. Shirley
went back to work for Hormel's and then later worked for Woolworth's
for 10 years, and at Comforcare for a short period of time.
Shirley was a member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church and the
Austin American Legion Auxiliary, where she served as the president
for many years. Shirley and Harold were avid dancers that took lessons
and were fun to watch on the dance floor. Shirley and her family loved
to travel. They consistently were able to take annual vacations, in which
fond memories were formed. She loved gardening and plants and the occasional
trip to Las Vegas with Harold.
Shirley is survived by her husband Harold of Austin; children, Pamela
(David) Crawley of Orange, California, Patricia (Mark) Swanson of Ocean
Shores, Washington, Mark (Lisa) Gomer of Hinton, Oklahoma, Cheryl (Larry)
Reichl of Albert Lea; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two
great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, a grandson and three siblings.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 1, 2016, at
Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Fr. Dale Tupper officiating. Visitation
will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Mayer Funeral Home
and again an hour prior to the funeral at the church on Friday. There will
be a Rosary at 5 p.m. on Thursday at Mayer Funeral Home. The burial will
follow the funeral mass at Grandview Cemetery. Online
