Biographical Sketch of
S.A. Emerson
S.A. Emerson, alderman from the First ward, was born in Pottsdam, New York in 1856. When about a year old his parents came to Mower County, being among the early pioneers. He learned the tinner's trade at Osage, Iowa, and has followed that business for twenty-five years.
During the past seven years he has been associated with Birum & Birum. In the spring of 1895, Mr. Emerson was elected alderman from the First ward.
He is a member of the Masonic Order and has served as master of the lodge three years.
